Island
Sun Island is locally known as Nalaguraidhoo. The island is one of
the largest resort islands in the Maldives and was officially opened
in May 1999. This 5 star PLUS resort has all that anyone would need
for a perfect tropical holiday. The island measures 1.6 km in length
and 440 metres in width.
Location
Sun island - locally known as Nalaguraidhoo - is located on
the southern tip of South Ari Atoll. The island is one of the
biggest resorts in the Maldives measuring 1.6 km in length.
Transfer
Transfer to the island by seaplane takes about 35 minutes.
Speedboat transfer takes about 150 minutes.

The Hotel takes pleasure to offer a bottle of Champagne & fruit
basket for honeymooners and also for clients who celebrate their
silver and golden wedding anniversaries; and a cake plus bottle of
wine for birthdays celebrated with us. Repeaters will also be
provided with a bottle of wine & a fruit basket.
Dining and Wining
There is a choice of restaurants offering western and oriental
cuisine with rich and delicious buffets and set menu meals. In
addition the coffee shop and bar serve a variety of alarcarte meals
and drinks round the clock. Water sports and other recreational
facilities include scuba diving, wind surfing, sailing, snorkeling,
fishing, flood-lit tennis courts, volleyball, badminton, billiards,
table tennis and a gymnasium. In the way of entertainment, the
resort offers karaoke, disco, weekly live bands and cultural shows.
In
addition to the above depending on the choice of clientele, open air
barbecue or a Maldivian Night is a common thing.

facilities and a computer games centre.
Excursions
The excursions will take you to a fishing village or to the
capital island Male’. Everywhere you meet gentle, friendly
Maldivians. Our popular island hopping tour with a stop at a nearby
resort or two and a picnic lunch on an uninhabited island is a
memorable event.
Special Events - Cultural Shows and Live Music
The weekly cultural show (BODUBERU) and live music depending on
house count of guests and a barbecue night provide a few climatic
