Royal Island,
known locally as Horubadhoo, is the latest addition to Villa Hotels
group of resorts. A house reef, with all the natural richness of the
blue waters of the Indian Ocean, beautifully surrounds the island.
White sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and the warmth of the
Maldivian sun add to the characteristics of this island being a
tropical hideaway for holidaymakers.
Location
Royal Island is located
in Baa Atoll (click to view Map of Maldives). The Island itself is
800m in length and 220m in width. It takes 30 minutes to reach Royal
Island by air and 2 1/2 hours by speedboat from the Male'
International Airport.
Accommodation
The island is designed
with a Maldivian touch. 148 bungalows and 2 presidential suites are
spaciously placed amongst the depth of the island green, the
indigenous Maldivian palm trees. All rooms are located conveniently
near the water to ensure that clients enjoy the best of the clear
blue waters that surround the island.

Excursions and Island
Hopping
Excursions and visits to
local and uninhabited island in Baa Atoll will be arranged on a
regular basis, so as to give the visitor a glimpse into the
Maldivian way of life, in the fishing islands. Shopping and
sightseeing is always an attractive pastime.
Evening Entertainment
As the tradition goes,
there will be live music events as well as cultural shows organized
on a weekly basis. The island also has a state-of-the-art Karaoke
studio and a games centre will also be opened shortly.
